Recently, I was triggered by a personal event, and I could feel the stress taking hold of me. It’s something we all experience—those everyday triggers that can quickly overwhelm us. We’ve all heard phrases like, “I’m so stressed,” “I can’t get my head above water,” or “I’m burnt out.” But what if there was a way to manage those feelings more effectively?
Enter Body Intelligence—a powerful leadership tool. By tuning into our body’s physical sensations, we can transform our approach to stress and lead with more awareness and resilience.
As an executive coach, one of my first questions to clients is: What triggers you? Identifying those triggers is key. By paying attention to physical cues like a tight stomach or clenched jaw, we can catch our emotional states in real time. This allows us to pause, reflect, and respond thoughtfully rather than reacting impulsively—strengthening our emotional intelligence and building better relationships.
💡 Tip: Check in with your body throughout the day. Notice any tension, discomfort, or relaxation. Simply acknowledging these sensations can help you make more intentional choices and improve decision-making.
Let’s lead with awareness, presence, and resilience—because a mindful leader is an effective leader.
